Were are not talking about the big projects, or big reward. In fact we are not talking reward at all. They want their everyday achievements to be noticed and recognised. An online survey of 450 adult full-time employees in late September and early October found that if the boss appreciates their everyday successes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>58% said they were more likely to have a better attitude at work<\/li>\n<li>45% said they would be motivated to do a better job<\/li>\n<li>32% said they would be motivated to stay with the company longer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Managers who don\u2019t appreciate their employees run the risk of losing workers. Younger workers care about this the most.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>33% of workers across the board said they have resigned from a job because they didn&#8217;t feel their everyday contributions were appreciated<\/li>\n<li>37% of workers under 40 said they&#8217;ve quit because they were under-appreciated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The growth\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.workstars.com\/\">employee recognition programs<\/a> and specifically social\u00a0recognition, is only turning up the heat on managers.\u00a0As an\u00a0employee\u2019s voice and the expression of all things\u00a0positive\u00a0becomes an integral part\u00a0an\u00a0open, transparent and rewarding workplace,\u00a0the expectation on\u00a0managers to connect our work to the goals and values\u00a0of the company, is greater than ever.<\/p>\n<p>So what are the best doing to\u00a0maximise\u00a0recognition from a managers\u00a0perspective? How do they\u00a0manage to\u00a0tell authentic recognition stories that make employees and teams\u00a0feel appreciated, when so many other\u00a0managers\u00a0cannot, or do not? The answer is simple.
